Hope you are all doing well and hanging in there. I never thought I would see our economy stall in so many sectors all at once. We are grateful for each day at our business and thankful for all of our clients and the great people that make up our candidate pool. Some of our clients are able to keep hiring and have seen operations continue and expand. Some have had to put things on hold to ride out the storm. Some are hiring with a delayed start date. Wherever you are in that spectrum, we understand that you need to do what is right for your company in this moment.

For the sharp professionals who may have found yourself out of a job due to recent events, we are sorry for the pain you may be experiencing through it all. We are hopeful at CTE that the world will open up again soon. One thing we do believe at CTE is that life is for the living.

What we can all do:

1. Use this time to prepare – do not sit idle. Companies need to continue to re-evaluate and to be nimble to handle each day. Professionals need to stay sharp and ready – keeping up on your industry knowledge. Re-think your direction, if need be. The work we do now will determine the rate of our comeback.

2. Work and create – even if you are not allowed to work your regular job or are unemployed right now, create projects and your own work. People were meant to be and feel productive. There is always a choice in how we act – and react.

3. Support your neighbors and friends where you can, even if it’s just a check-in on their well-being.

4. Believe in the US – the great people of our nation that make it what it is. People before us gave up their lives and their fortunes for the freedom that we enjoy today. Let us not take that lightly, and keep our freedoms and dreams alive!
